One of Anime 18's newest adult anime releases is the appropriately titled PROFESSOR PAIN. Now I normally view the Japanese on the whole as a rather reserved culture, but boy do they love their kink! Let's take a peek at what's behind the dirty little secret door, shall we?

Part 1
A young "college" co-ed, Tawa, is assaulted by the bullying Kanon and her gang who threaten her in a most unpleasant way with a mop. This scenario is viewed by the substitute Professor, who smiles in approval although unseen by the girls. Later, one of the school buildings suddenly EXPLODES, causing a mass panic (naturally). However, Professor P tells his class not to worry, for HE is the mad bomber! He explains to the stunned students that he has more bombs planted and can detonate them with his hand held controller. The Prof further tells the kids he believes education is useless - what good is knowledge unless you know how to use it?

So the Prof employs weasel Mitsya as his "assistant', and the Judas rips the clothes off of poor Tawa. As he explains the female urinary system, the Prof has Mitsya insert some chemical into Tawa's vagina, causing her to violently pee in front of the class when Mitsya inserts a finger into her ass. AS other male students strip and tie Kanon to a bizarre contraption, Tawa is "allowed" to suck off Mitsya, and gets a facial for her "reward." Mitsya torments Kanon by inserting needles into her breast. The poor girl passes out when Mitsya lances her clitoris with a needle. As police and the media arrive at the college, the Prof has Mitsya tie up defiant Yukika, and hang her by the boobs out of the window. Mitsya takes the opportunity to fuck the hanging Yukika in full view of the crowd below. Professor P commends Mitsya on his handling of the situation; Yukika goes catatonic.

Part 2
Regular Professor Kumehara arrives at the school, and pleads with Professor P to release the hostages. She offers herself as a replacement. The paranoid Prof sends Mitsya out with a cell phone, and via the phone, tells Kumehara to strip so he can see she's not wired. A humiliated Kumehara does so, and arrives at the classroom only to be attacked by the male students. Naked and trussed up, Kumehara is stimulated by a ravenous Mitsya. When her breasts produce milk, the Prof calmly explains lactation as Mitsya forces breast pumps onto her boobs so all the boys can have a taste. Meanwhile, Tawa removes the needles from Kanon. Kanon apologizes for assaulting Tawa.

On the TV, a news show reveals the background on Professor Pain. Seems his sister was a professor who was improper with some students. Was it rape, or was she a willing participant? Whatever the case, she was expelled from the college and committed suicide. According to Professor P, this was a miscarriage of justice; so all the college will feel his revenge! The Prof forces Yuho (who reminds him of his sister) and Oto to make love on the roof with the media watching. But Mitsya and "the boys" arrive on the roof and assaulted poor Yuho. Watching the TV feed of Yuho's molestation, the Prof thinks it's his sister and sets off more explosions. As he rants and raves, the rest of the class engages in an orgy. Mitsya returns and ids forgiven by Tawa, who says she still loves him. A deranged Prof loses all control, but before he pushes the final button, Yuho appears and tries to talk him out of blowing up the class. Believing Yuho to be his sister again, the Prof slumps and asks her forgiveness for being bad. It seems the horror is over, but wait!

Well, as I previously wrote, porn has to be interesting to be considered "good." PROFESSOR PAIN certainly qualifies on that assertion! I'm not an S&M guy at all, and I don't think I could watch this film if it were live action. (The needle in the clit bit is pretty intense.) However, if sado-masochism is your cup of tea, this movie offers you a full cup! PROFESSOR PAIN starts with a "mild" humiliation scene, and then continues to up the ante for each new degradation. It's a curious feature, but outside of the main male characters, the other males are drawn in shadow, and in black during the rooftop gang-bang. The girls are always fully drawn, usually naked. I tend to think it's done to feed the male visual fantasy of being the "stable stud" - shadows don't count. Viewing as much anime as I do, it's hard to think of the girls as college co-eds, since they seem to act and dress like all the high school girls in other films. But that would be illegal, wouldn't it? So for what it's worth, PROFESSOR PAIN certainly delivers what it promises - 60 minutes of terror, torture and degradation. Have fun.

The animation is pretty standard stuff, but the picture is nice and clear. The audio ("No no no" "Uh uh uh") is clean and in Dolby for you audio fanatics! The DVD contains some nice extras, including a short feature on the adult anime art form. Also on the disc is an art gallery (with poster art and production stills) and storyboards for four sequences. These are presented side-by-side with the finished anime. There are explicit trailers for other Anime 18 films, as well as a PROFESSOR PAIN trailer. Remember kids, this and all Anime 18 product is FOR ADULTS ONLY!!! So no overriding those parental controls now, y'hear?

If you're curious about the world of alterative sex, PROFESSOR PAIN offers a pallet of disturbing and humiliating scenes to either entice or disgust you. Certainly not for the squeamish, the film lives up to its title. So proceed if you wish, but proceed with caution. PAIN is just around the corner.
