Central Park Media returns with Part 3 in the continuing anime saga of sex and violence that is known as Nightmare Campus. All of your old favorites are back for another round of demon action as well as participation in some truly graphic scenes of debauchery that are definitely NOT for the kiddies. Once again, Disney this ain't folks, so if you're not easily offended and looking to be shocked, disgusted and thoroughly entertained - then read on!

Spoiler Warning!!!! It's going to get to a point in which it'll be nearly impossible for me to discuss the storyline of each episode as they are released without giving away important plot points. That's right, I'm giving away a lot of shit in the next paragraph about the story (more so than usual), so if you wanna go in fresh (as the kids say these days) then you'd best skip over the next paragraph and run home crying to yo mama! Volume 3 begins as we are introduced more thoroughly to some of the baddies that were glossed overin the first two volumes of Nightmare Campus. Characters who have really only been touched upon up until this point. The school gangs including the martial arts club and student council(?) are given their fair share of screen time before we jump back in with Akira and Masao. Straight off of their massive battle, both Akira and Masao are recovering from their wounds after resuming their human forms again. The threat of the school nurse (who made a brief appearance last episode) is fully realized (quite quickly mind you) and she becomes the first hentai anime baddie that I've ever seen with nipple rings. Masao comes to grips with the demon Esedess living inside of him and does his best in trying to control him. A fight that proves to be quite difficult. Highlights of the episode include massive orgy style outings and a female's crotch plate that tranmsforms into a brass dildo, yowza!

Still enjoying the series here, although I have to admit that part 3 comes across as the least favorable so far. I'm sure that in the grand scheme of things it'll have its worth, but as a 40-minute chunk of a much larger story, it was slightly unimpressive. Still, in order to follow through one does need to experience part 3, not that it didn't have its highlights. I just felt that some plot devices moved too quickly (like the importance of the nurse) while others were glossed over. Violence is kept to a minimum and the sex scenes seem to have been thrown in this round simply for the sake of having them. I did throughly enjoy the continuing character development of the regulars though, like Masao's inner struggle with Esedess and the unlikely alliance of the good and the bad; obviously the need for survival is taking hold.

Quality wise, Nightmare Campus continues to look quite good on DVD. There's really no evidence of print damage and colors are really sharp and vibrant. The stereo surround track available in Japanese or English with optional yellow English subs also fares quite well. Surround tracks don't offer much to the viewer, but that's OK because the front separation is handled quite well. Both audio tracks (English and Japanese) are comparable in depth of sound and clarity. It's worth noting that this go round you get a little more bang for your buck in the translation realm with the subtitles.

Extras include a brief art and sketch gallery along with a host of trailers for other Central Park Media titles. Also featured is a segment called Anime Artform, which provides an insight into this type of animation geared towards beginners. Also included is a host of DVD ROM features including more galleries and production notes/credits.

Still loving it here folks. Quality wise, Nightmare Campus ranks up there as one of the most enjoyable hentai series I've discovered in quite some time. We experience a bit of slow down this chapter, but from the looks of things, we'll be picking up speed rather quickly in the near future, for fans of hentai anime; definitely recommended.
